Fuck you socialist bitches.
JK JK. Still civil. Still want to be BFFs with both candidates.
On the Wall St. money issue . . . this is obviously anecdotal, but I was a democratic fundraiser in NY for some time. NY was Hillary's fundraising base for a long time given her time in the Senate. The financial industry is everywhere there, but I've seen so many candidates take a check and then vote against the giver's interest the very next day. I actually think a lot of time the motivation of giving to a left-leaning candidate was just to get into the room to network with other donors. So, I don't really believe that money automatically equals corruption.
That said, I think it certainly can, so I'm thrilled that Sanders is bringing these issues to the forefront. I don't have a lot of faith in Citizens United going away anytime soon, but I definitely think we can have real reform with more disclosure and a solid matching funds program. I honestly have no idea how the guy has done so much on small dollar donations, and I am in awe of that.
I do tend to gravitate closer to Clinton's proposals, though, and as a direct beneficiary of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, I feel almost an emotional connection to her candidacy. But I love Bernie, too, and I recognize that she has some flaws, and I really hate primaries.

Nice post puppybagel. I agree with you on the money issues.
I actually love both Clinton and Sanders, I will vote for whichever one wins the democratic primaries. In my heart of hearts, I suppose I do lean more towards Sanders. But I really do like both of them.

puppybagelIt's not just campaign donations, it's also about millions of dollars in speaking fees. And Big Money doesn't offer those fees to those who don't speak about things they want spoken of... Hillary has been bought and paid for. She is "for" or "opposed" to whatever will make her money or earn her votes. Zero integrity.

Hilary is to flip floppy for my personal tastes. Her policy changes with the way the country carts. I have no faith.

I'm voting for Bernie though if Hillary gets the nomination, I'd vote for her. I'm a Democrat and just can't agree with the Republican stances. I voted for Bernie in the primary and I'm trying to get BF to register so that he will vote too.
And Trump is just... bad. My mother's cousin is friends with me on Facebook and he's constantly posting about how great Trump is. And I just want to bash my head into the desk.

There are a lot of ways to get free college already. You just have to work for it. Scholarships, the military. Or even go to a community college.

That thinking is wack. Eh... I can see where she is coming from. I don't have a college degree but I'm still paying and will still be for years for my student loans. I can't afford to go back to school if I wanted to so what Bernie is suggesting does sound great to me. But I've found that I'm more of a hands on learner than in a classroom anyway.

I don't want the government controlling colleges the way schools are. Since colleges are paid by the students for the most part they have a lot of freedom in what they teach. I hate that schools now teach to a test instead of the whole subject. Plus if you go to a community college in state then the pell grant covers the cost of tuition. And there are hundreds of scholarships available to those who look.

It's working out okay in other countries. Is Sweden or Switzerland ine if the happiest places to live and the government takes care of all college funding.
Being said I see the issue with government trying to control schools being a problem but maybe if they spent more time on education and less time in trying to figure out what fucking cup size you need to be to nurse in public it would be less of an issue
