I'm glad that both me and FH are gamers. We have matching headsets that link together so we can talk to each other even though we don't play the same things.

An ongoing WTF I need to rant about... Husband moved into my house in Nov. 2014. It took a bit longer than planned to get his house on the market, but it was listed in late-spring 2015. Got an offer. Inspection time, and they ran a damn scope down the sewer and find cracks, and now that has to be disclosed and fixed as part of the sale. So that offer fell through, he updated his disclosures and lowered the price to account for the sewer issue.
Six months later he finally gets competing offers, accepts one, and it falls through again based on the inspection. His realtor never found out why and then FORGOT TO RELIST THE HOUSE. We find this out a couple months later, you know, as we're finalizing paying for our wedding and hoping that this monkey gets off our back. First realtor is fired, and he finds a new one.
New realtor has been great, came up with a creative plan for sorting out the sewer issues through escrow, has him fix up a few more minor issues, and the first weekend it's listed, BOOM! Two offers! He accepts the highest offer, and there's another inspection...they come back with a whole list of issues that have to be repaired to the satisfaction of buyer's inspector.
UGH IT'S NEVER ENDING. He's going to have the issues fixed to try and salvage this sale, but this never ending saga with his house is killing me. And now that we're married I have to sign off on everything too, because in our state it take one to buy, two to sell. I have literally spent a grand total of about 30 mins in his house ever (with my big dog and the fact that my house is closer to his work, it was always easier for him to come to me). Luckily we are financially stable enough to deal with this, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be great if we were BETTER financially and didn't own two houses! Fingers crossed this one sticks!!!

minnemiska How frustrating! I hope this buyer works out. Speaking of houses, FH and I want to buy soon, but he's so picky! He doesn't want to be in an HOA (neither do I, really), he wants at least an acre of land in an area away from the city. We're in AZ and there's plenty of empty land outside the city. BUT most of the land away from the city doesn't have internet access and if they do, it's slow to the point of unusable. FH is a gamer and an IT guy so we NEED fast internet. And the houses we're finding all need work, which is fine but it'll just be one more thing to deal with. So now we're looking at manufactured homes. The new ones are SO nice and a lot of the ones we've looked at online look like regular houses. Anyway, FH is going to look at a couple sample home lots this weekend while I go to CA for a bridal shower (not mine). Knew there was a reason I didn't really want to go! The bridal shower will be fun, but I actually like going to look at houses, especially if it could be mine! Also, FH is going to Brazilian barbecue this weekend without me. Ugh, so rude.

If I get this job I've been interviewing for, DH and I will be moving into a house to rent. I've already fallen in love with a few properties, so now I have to play the waiting game

YES, MrsP! Not a PS with us, but DH is definitely too into his computer games. Drives me crazy. Like when we're supposed to leave at a certain time when we've made plans but he insists on "just finishing this one game" first. Arghh. I could run it over, throw it into the marsh behind our house, stomp it to death, cut the cables, put cold cuts or cheese into the DVD rom, immerse it into water and freeze it, sell it on Craigslist for $5, auction it off on E-bay, wrap it up and give it away to a needy kiddo at the hospital, donate it to our playroom at the hospital, fill it with silly string, fill it with foam insulation.....

i just got hubby into video games. whenever i am gaming for hours on end, hubby sits next to me or at least in the same room either watching me play or doing something he loves. that way we're still together, still chatting and hanging out but enjoying our seperate activities. maybe try something like that?

I recently fell in love with a house too, but we have NO money saved, and my credit is 32 points too low for a grant/assistance. www.trulia.com/property/1040709752-3710-La-Junta-Dr-Las-Vegas-NV-89120Its older, but perfect for us, and has SO much potential....I hope I can raise my score before it sells. I'm tempted to see if he'll rent to us for a year while I work on my score.

MrsP - Just hide the controllers! Lol He's got spares... in his office somewhere... (roll eyes here) uberdami - I don't play games and I don't spend time in the living room either... but that is a WHOLE other issue. SO basically, I do my own thing- watch tv in the bedroom, go to the gym or practice or read a book. I'm really over this... it's not just a little bit of time, it's hours every night.

yasminadlv you could always ask. If they haven't received a lot of interest they may be willing to work with you.
