yasminadlv you could always ask. If they haven't received a lot of interest they may be willing to work with you. I just might. They haven't had a lot of interest in it yet.

mrsp i play for hours each night too, sometimes 6 if i have nothing else going on. it took my hubby a while to say something about it, and when he did, we just played together and i taught him how the games work. or he just goes and does his own thing, sometimes its nice to be seperate and read or do what you want. maybe you guys can compromise

We plays on his Xbox and I chat with my best friend. Occasionally we may play a game together or in the case of last night when my laptop had a massive update, we ignore both and play a board game or card game or watch a movie. We both are gamers though he plays more often than I do.

uberdami - I don't play games and I don't spend time in the living room either... but that is a WHOLE other issue. SO basically, I do my own thing- watch tv in the bedroom, go to the gym or practice or read a book. I'm really over this... it's not just a little bit of time, it's hours every night. I'm the same way. FH loves to game. I go to sleep earlier than he does, so when I go into the bedroom to watch Netflix and go to sleep, he games. It works out for us because we watch tv and hang out together until I go to bed. Is there any way you could talk to him about carving out more time for you guys to hang out?

My WTF is work related. I'm getting frustrated with the campaign I am currently calling on since I'm getting non one on the phone. It's frustrating when you are calling for 8 hours a day and you speak to no one.

I think it makes sense to game for hours at night. I'm not a gamer (I've tried, it just makes me anxious and on edge), but I unwind by reading, which I'll do for hours on end. DH & I usually hang out together in the living room with him gaming and me reading. It works for the most part, though I do get frustrated when he tries to make us late for stuff to keep playing. MrsP if that doesn't work, maybe block off certain times to catch up?

puppybagel rjmargo we've had this talk a few times but it just doesn't seem to sink in. We haven't even had a real conversation for weeks now. It's not like there's no time that I'm busy and he could play games- I have practice 4 days a week for 2-3 hours and I go to the gym a few times a week too,all in the evenings. I'm just really over it at this point.

i just got hubby into video games. whenever i am gaming for hours on end, hubby sits next to me or at least in the same room either watching me play or doing something he loves. that way we're still together, still chatting and hanging out but enjoying our seperate activities. maybe try something like that? Lol FH finally got me to play Minecraft. It's fun, but I can't get myself to play for hours. I'll probably start playing other stuff eventually, but for now, we mostly just do our own things in the same room.

I can't spend time in the living room because of other issues so it usually means that I'm in the bedroom alone if I'm not out of the house. We used to talk to each other, watch shows or movies together or even just be in the same room reading or something but not anymore. I'm so frustrated that I'm literally like WTF every night.

mrsp the promoter is supposed to get a small cut, but i just sent them an email expressing the issues and letting them know that if we can't move forward as is expected that we'll have to renegotiate the payment deal. luckily, we're getting a new promoter next month, i just cant deal with this one anymore. this is not the first issue we've encountered with him

I was against even having a TV in there! I think he needs to limit his time. I am gone almost every night for at least 2-3 hours and also on Sundays for a few hours. I even go to the gym on Saturdays now to give him time but he still insists on getting right on there as soon as we are done with dinner then he's still playing when I come back from practice at 10. I shower and go to bed by 11. We have talked about this so many times and he gets mad at me over it...Now it's like WIFE or GAME...GAME seems to be winning. I was planning on retiring from roller derby after this season because I have a torn meniscus in my knee and I wanted to have more time to spend with him but now I'm thinking "7th season?? Sure! Why not!!"
