Just to put it out there - I'm by no means a blushing virginal bride. Divorced, 3 kids, 37 years old, with plenty of sexual experience - and I had never heard of this before joining WW.

Impurities that make their way into the urethra? Bacteria/germs. Everyone has their own blend. And your introduction his germs with your germs and it's easy to get an infection. It's common practice to 'flush' by urinating after wards. It's a medically recommended practice. As mentioned keeps uti's at bay.

The urinary tract is generally a sterile environment. So if bacteria gets in there and grows then it can cause a uti. Peeing flushes anything that was pushed up there. Same reason they tell us to wipe front to back instead of back to front.
